Inaugural Blog for Steven Bouchey

Welcome to Steven Bouchey’s Blog and my inaugural entry, which I hope will be one of many that interests you.

What is a blog? “A blog (a contraction of the term “web log”) is a web site, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order.”

Since the markets around the world started sinking like the Titanic I have communicated with my clients seven times and held a market update seminar. Between my emails, letters and seminar I was encouraged by many clients to share my thoughts more openly after they realized that very few of their friends and/or family member’s financial advisors were doing the same for them as I was doing for my clients, which is why I started a blog. The blogs that have been posted before this one are snippets from letters or emails sent to my clients since September 15, 2008.

During these uncertain times, I believe that this is when my clients need me the most and I have done my best not to be like an Ostrich, burying my head in the sand, but putting myself on the firing line, front and center, in order to counsel clients and keep them informed. My clients are my main priority and my objective is to provide them with as much information as possible so that they can make rational decisions rather than irrational ones based on emotions.

Hopefully my Blog will allow me to share my views with you, and sometimes you may have a different opinion which I would love to hear about as well. I can assure you that my thoughts and comments will be honest and sincere.

To summarize, there will be no fluff in my blog, I will do my best to include the following components when I write: Candor, Urgency, Timeliness and sometimes Controversy if my viewpoint differs from anothers. Blogging leads to talking and listening, I want to talk if you care to listen.

Lets start blogging!
