Steven Bouchey Supports The Flutter Club’s Flutter Express Program

One recent experience served as a powerful reminder of how a single connection can lead to lasting impact.
A Meaningful Connection
In the summer of last year, Steven Bouchey, CEO of Bouchey Financial Group, attended a local fundraiser at Village Pizzeria in Galway. It was there that he met Lily Smith, a young girl bravely undergoing cancer treatment. Lily’s strength and resilience left a lasting impression and prompted Steven to look for a way to help that could extend beyond one family.
That search led him to the Flutter Club, a Capital Region nonprofit founded by Francesca LoPorto-Brandow. The Flutter Club supports pediatric cancer patients and their families through programs designed to ease the emotional and logistical challenges that often accompany treatment.
Supporting The Flutter Club’s Flutter Express Program
One of The Flutter Club’s key initiatives is Flutter Express, a transportation program that provides safe, reliable rides for pediatric cancer patients and their families traveling to and from medical appointments. For many families, transportation can be a significant source of stress during an already difficult time.
In partnership with The Flutter Club, Steven funded a new van for the Flutter Express fleet. The vehicle, which proudly bears Lily’s name, will be used to transport children and families throughout the Capital Region, helping ensure consistent access to care for those who need it most.
